DESCRIPTION:

The El Romeral nature reserve includes a large part of the municipality of La Estrella, and in addition to municipalities such as Caldas Angelópolis, Heliconia, and the district of San Antonio de Prado (Medellín), it is an environmental corridor and green lung of Antioquia, it regulates the local climate and hydrology.

Near its highest point of elevation above sea level is this lagoon, at 2,250 meters above sea level, this trekking seeks, in addition to sharing a great experience of natural contact, to raise awareness about our water resources, admire all the animal species that depend on these and observe the great landscapes that this nature reserve gives us.

We will skirt the Quebrada Grande for much of the route, one of the many springs that are born at the top of the romeral, there we will be able to observe waterfalls, puddles and a large number of birds.
