DESCRIPTION:

Once in Concepción we will make a brief exploration of the town, to observe its colonial architecture, characteristic of the 18th and 19th centuries, which remains almost frozen in time. Then we will visit the museum in honor of José María Córdova, a very important character in the history of the municipality.  

Our walk begins from the museum, since it is close to a beautiful ecological trail that follows part of the crystal clear waters of the Concepción River, then we will arrive at a more rural area, where we will walk alternately between flat trails, slight ascents and descents, for some paddocks and farms with incomparable views, later we will find the old road to the municipality of Alejandría, where we will take a break.

Continuing with the tour we will pass through an uncovered road with a gradual ascent, which will take us until we see the imposing waterfall with its torrents of water, coming from the Matasanos ravine; We descend a short sloping and marshy path, until we touch its waters and bathe in them.

We will make a large part of the return by road to shorten the path and have other very nice views of the place, and approximately halfway through the way we will return to the paths of the rural area, until we finish in the main park.
